Person Centred Counsellor Online

About Counselling

  • Are you mourning the loss of a loved one?
  • Are you going through or experiencing a relationship breakdown?
  • Are you struggling and would like support to adjust to change in your life?
  • Are you struggling with a betrayal?
  • Do you have low self-esteem?
  • Are you feeling misunderstood?
  • Do you feel lonely or vulnerable?
  • Are you feeling anxious, guilty or angry?
  • Do you find it difficult to express your feelings and emotions?

It can sometimes be difficult to discuss challenges with family or friends without receiving comparative judgement or advice.

At SJF Counselling I practice the Person-Centred Approach (PCA) based on the non-directive counselling of its founder Carl Rogers, known as 'the here and now'.

This empathic, non-judgemental approach is offered in a safe, trusting environment to explore and express suppressed feelings and emotions.

This talking therapy allows individuals to find their own solution to problems and to develop strategies for the future with my support.

This approach empowers and motivates individuals to move on in their lives, and in doing so, provides space for improved and pro-active management of life's challenges.

What are the Benefits of Counselling?

  • I concentrate on offering my clients a safe and secure environment so that they can share their own thoughts, feelings and emotions thus enabling them to be more self-aware.
  • I am conscious not to lead or direct, only to support and guide every client to find their own answers towards a successful outcome.
  • I will listen without judgement and together we will gently explore emotions and feelings to gain a better understanding of the challenges being faced.
  • During the sessions, I am patient, empathic, understanding and non-judgemental so that my clients can find their own path towards managing their lives for themselves.
  • This allows clients to understand their own situation better and to find substantial fulfilment within their lives so that they can process their emotions and feelings without judgement.
